The day my life changed

My name is Lea.  To learn more about me you can visit me here (click here). Let me tell you about the time my life changed.

In 2001 I decided to enter a Secretary of the Year competition.  I felt confident I had what it takes, except I was told that we'd have to make impromptu speeches.  And that freaked me out.  I thought I was okay if I had a long time to prepare speeches, but struggled if I didn't have a long time to prepare.

I can't remember who it was, but somebody told me about Dale Carnegie and so I signed up for the 12 week course.

We were a class of 37 and our trainer was George Savva.  I have never met anybody who was as passionate and positive as he was about the things he taught us and about life.  He lived and breathed everything he taught us.  So much so that to this day (11 years later) I still believe it was the best, most life changing experience of my life.  Not only that, but everybody else in the class couldn't stop raving about how much George changed their lives for the better and we put together a book for George where we shared with him just how much he meant to us.

A few years after the course I had to put together a team building event at my work for about 70 people.  And I asked George to be a guest speaker for us.  For 2 and a half hours he kept a bunch of IT guys interested and involved in what he was telling us. And afterwards 2 people decided to look at doing a Dale Carnegie course. I can still remember what George talked about that day.  And a year later people were still talking about it.

George is an amazing person with amazing insight.  He is such a positive and inspiring person and he is sure to take you on the journey of your life!

I am very excited to start following George's blog and learn amazing things from him!
